117. The poem without an ending.(19/03/2016).

In a break with the recent couple of pieces, something unconnected to bedrooms. Something purely whimsical but all the same sincere. Don’t be put off by the title, it really is quite short . 117. The poem without an ending.(19/03/2016). … Continue reading

123.“A full breakfast for one please.” (28/03/2016).

Hot on the heels of yesterday mornings “Bhajis and black coffee” came this, it’s an altogether different character though it has its similarities. Probably done in less time it completed a really fun rewarding couple of hours. And the best … Continue reading

119.Retribution. (19/03/2016).

This started as a stand alone piece but soon resonated with an earlier one called “Catharsis” which was similar but opposite in terms of the power dynamic of the narrative. As this one progressed it was clear that it was … Continue reading

The first three lines of this piece were the second part of a Facebook post this morning. I re-read them after posting it and liked them thinking I’ll save them for some other time maybe. As I saved them in … Continue reading

78.Blood and chocolate and bunnies. (March 2015)   As eggs that don’t boil, Are taken outta their foil, There’s strange goings on, That give cause to wonder, About the familiar jumper, Stalking the jumper that bounces, And the one … Continue reading

72.My favourite dancers dying. (‎12 ‎April ‎2015).

This was a fairly easy piece to write for the most part, in terms of the words and how they came initially. But it was an awkward, painful at times, piece to write and to read as it was being … Continue reading

112. Writers block. (13 Jan 2016)

I realised today, it had been quite some time since I visited here, never mind posted something new to hopefully be of interest. And this is new. All conceived, composed and finished yesterday (13/01). I found myself musing on what … Continue reading

I saw Freddy killing Santa Claws. (05 Dec 15)

Those with delicate festive sensibilities look away now. Part 3 in the cheery festive saga that’s very loosely about the fat bloke in the red suit who likes house breaking and small children. But this doesn’t include Richard Attenborough. Er, … Continue reading

A festive trilogy in red and green and silver parts 1 to 3:

There’s no radical vegetarian agenda here, I’ll be having the full works the same as most everyone else. When this was written around this time last year, or a bit before, this is the space I found my head in. … Continue reading
